RECAP of 2006:
1-2 with losses to the eventual champ colts and at seattle. our early win was 1 of Eli's 2 best comebacks, this one in Philly in OT(go up and get it Plax) and in 2005 when he beat Denver in the final seconds in front of DC and I.
Week 4 we surrender only a FG and beat the Skins 19-3, and TC is quoted as saying "We played Giants football"...Then we went down to Atlanta and beat them 27-14 to move to 3-2. Week 7 found us in Big D where Coop has already re-capped for you how much better were than them. Giants 36-22. We then stifled TB at home 17-3 and Survived a scare from the Texans 14-10 and were 6-2 and the talk of the NFC.
6-2 - .750 winning percentage. We allowed 16 points over 3 weeks at home.
And thats when the season ended. The Bears played here on Sunday night. While losing Luke Pettigout, we also lost our heart and soul. It wasn't the Devin Hester 108 yard fg return(which did suck), The Bears changed the momentum with one drive -- and really one play, a draw to Jones on third-and-22 with 1:30 left in the half. He went 26 yards for a first down and woke up the offense; grossman hit Mark Braddley for a TD, and what was a 13-3, game tunred to 13-10 and the season would never turn around.
If i am Coach Coughlin, Antonio Pierce, Jeremy Shockey, Eli Manning, Gibril Wilson, etc...I remind myself all off-season of the football team up until that play.

Why does everyone think we will stink?
Football is the ultimate team game where individuals need to step up and make plays.
It starts tomorrow night. It starts with a defense that's achillesin 2006 was 3rd and 11. We never stopped it. We also played soft. Our corners played 10 yards off. We lost The Chief, Lavar, Michael, Sam and Corey at different points. We brought in Spags. We will play man-press coverage. That alone should tell you we will be aggressive. We will blitz. On 3rd and 11, Kiwi will put his hand down and rush the qb with Osi, Michael and Justin.
It starts tomorrow ninght. The schedule should allow us to surive early and get strong in the middle. In OCtober alone, we play the Jets(overrated), SF(overhyped), Atlanta(we beat them with vick and lost to them with Doug Johnson and Matt Schaub, so who knows) and Miami.
It starts tomorrow night. The transoformation at RB. We return to Power football. Jacobs will be fine. we went 3-0 in 2006 when he carries 10 times. Imagine the Big Blue back to Bruising Running and Aggressive Defense. Thats how i dream every night.

So nervous right now. Nervous in a good way. I just want to get the game started. Get the first hit under my belt. Even though it is only a 5:00 start on the wset coast, it feels like for ever to get started. I am on my 5th iced coffee and sick of watching the Raiders already..
Eagles looked like crap and so did the Skins. Let's get a win in Dallas and start rolling..We need a pass rush and time posession in order to have a chance at winning this game..
My faith HAS to be in Eli to captain this team to victory. No more distractions. No more runningbacks that care only about their own self promotion. Just a bunch of gus who are on the same page and want to win football games for the New York Football Giants.
