Eli Update

From our friend Ralph Vachianno at the NY DAILY NEWS

Manning Seems Likely to Play Sunday:

In a sure sign that he’s pretty close to playing on Sunday afternoon, Eli Manning didn’t just throw on the side at practice today. He took about half of the first-team snaps during the team drills.
That bit of information came from his would-be replacement, Jared Lorenzen, who was among the many in the locker room today trumpeting how good Manning looked. The consensus seems to be that it will now be a surprise if Manning doesn’t play against the Packers.
Tom Coughlin, though, remained tight-lipped and would only say that a decision likely won’t be made until just before kickoff.

Perhaps the bigger surprise was DE Osi Umenyiora (knee), who returned to practice today. It’s not clear how much he actually practiced, though. Coughlin said he practiced fully, though Umenyiora said he only did "a little bit."
Still, Sunday’s game may be a longshot for him.
"He said to me, ‘It’s a miracle that I’m out here today,’" Michael Strahan said. "He thinks he’s the Miracle Man."
